The SCAEA provides all our members with an opportunity to celebrate this significant month. As a member benefit, you are entitled to participate in an exhibit that is specifically planned by your SCAEA Region at no cost to you or your students. Below is the specific exhibit information and contact for each region. This year there were last minute problems with the Central Region YAM plans. So, all Central Region Members are invited to participate in the YAM Regional Exhibit closest to their home and school. Please contact the Coordinator of that region for details. Geneva Morris, SCAEA Eastern Region Coordinator The Eastern Region Youth Art Month Exhibit will be taking place March 2 through March 30, 2010 at the Drs. Bruce and Lee Library in Florence. The reception will be held on March 4 from 6-8. The library is at: 509 S Dargan St Florence, SC 29506-2549 (843) 662-8424
Requirements: Maximum number of student artworks per school is 10, The maximum size is 26” x 18”. Artwork should be mounted on stiff backing, such as mat board. I am also including name tags for the Please email Geneva Morris a list of your student names that will be in the art show as soon as possible so she can create certificates for these students.
Drop off of artwork is at the Drs. Bruce and Lee Library in Florence. The drop off dates for artwork are:
February 1st-4th February 8th - February11th February 16th-18th (that does not include the February 15th because the library will be closed that day, please do not leave any artwork there)
The times of drop off is from 2pm to 6pm. Bring the artwork up the second floor reference desk. I will pick up the artwork during these dates after 6pm. If you have any questions or comments about this, please let me know.

Our Lower Region Youth Art Month Reception will be on March 7, 2010 from 1-3pm in the Doty Park Community Center in Summerville. The student artwork will be displayed in the Doty Park building for our reception. The reception will include refreshments, entertainment, and hands-on activities.
